Fast context

MotoGP announced the agreement at Brno on June 19. Its official communication calls it the first time all of the championship’s manufacturers have signed one common five-year deal. The commitment confirms that the existing five-factory field intends to stay intact through the next rules cycle.

That stability had not been automatic. Autosport reported that negotiations ran for more than a year and centered in part on the commercial relationship between the promoter, manufacturers and independent teams. Its June 8 report said the framework was ready for ratification at Brno, which the official announcement has now confirmed for the manufacturers.

The careful distinction is that the factory and team pieces are not at exactly the same public stage. MotoGP says the 11 teams have agreed principal terms, but their announcement will come later. The signed manufacturer pact nevertheless removes the largest uncertainty hanging over the 2027 transition.
