The finish made a dominant night look like a theft. Blaney had controlled more than half the race, survived a rain stoppage longer than three hours and kept returning to the front. Yet Hocevar led at the white flag, and the winner still needed Bell’s bumper to create the run through Turns 3 and 4.
The final scoring required another step. Bubba Wallace crossed in the lead fight but was penalized for going below the yellow line, dropping him to 29th. NASCAR’s adjusted top five became Blaney, Bell, Hocevar, Ty Gibbs and Erik Jones.
That Jones result was quietly as important as the trophy fight. It kept the Legacy Motor Club driver on the Chase cutline at 446 points. Logano’s ninth-place finish moved him within eight, while Ryan Preece sits 26 points below Jones.
At the top, Hamlin finished 12th and retained the lead, but Reddick’s eighth place and strong stage results cut the gap to 24. Blaney is now close enough that another win or one bad night for the top two can make the regular-season title a three-driver contest.

North Wilkesboro returns as a points-paying Cup race on July 19. With six regular-season races left, every stage point now has direct cutline value rather than serving as background to the win.
